The Pehr Brahe Foundation was set up by a statute dated 26 March 1996.

The purpose of the foundation is to support technical, economic and other research, training and development activities.

The criteria for the supported activity are that the content is of high quality and effective. In order to achieve its goals, the foundation accepts donations. In addition, the foundation informs about the networking events of the University of Oulu and polytechnics in the Raahe economic area and, if necessary, organizes other events supporting business activities in the area.
