Function of the foundation

The Pehr Brahe Foundation was set up by a statute dated March 26, 1996.

The purpose of the foundation is to support technical, economic and other research, training and development activities.

In particular, the foundation aims to support and assist research, development, and thesis projects that respond to the needs of the business sector through its scholarships.

The criteria for supported activities are that the work is of high quality and impactful. To achieve its goals, the foundation accepts donations. In addition, the foundation provides information about networking events organized by the University of Oulu and universities of applied sciences in the Raahe economic region, and when necessary, organizes other events that support business activities in the area.
