The aim of Pehr Brahe foundation, established in 1996, is to support technic and economic and other research, education and development activities that are central to the Raahe economic area. The foundation's activities involve organisations, companies and communities operating in the Raahe economic area and environmental municipalities. 

Säätiö jakaa stipendejä Raahen talousalueen elinkeinoelämän ja yritysten tarpeita palvelevien tutkimus-, kehittämis- tai opinnäytetöiden toteuttamisesta. 

Scholarships can also be applied for by secondary school students who have completed the pathway studies aimed at polytechnic studies.
