The purpose of the foundation is to support technical, economic, and other research, education, and development activities that are central to the Raahe economic region. The foundation awards scholarships to higher education students for carrying out research, development, or thesis projects that serve the needs of the business community and companies in the Raahe economic region. Scholarships can also be applied for by students who have completed pathway studies aimed at university of applied sciences during their secondary education at institutions in the Raahe economic region and have started higher education studies.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

The criteria for awarding scholarships are academic achievement and the impact on the business sector in the region. The board decides annually at its spring meeting the number of scholarships and the total amount to be awarded. The scholarships granted can range in amount from \u20ac200 to \u20ac2,000. If necessary, a scholarship for a thesis project can also be divided between two or more individuals. <\/span>Scholarship recipients are published annually on the foundation\u2019s website and possibly also on the websites of universities and educational institutions.<\/p>

Stipendihakemus Pehr Brahen s\u00e4\u00e4ti\u00f6lle S\u00e4\u00e4ti\u00f6n tarkoituksena on tukea teknillis- ja taloustieteellist\u00e4 sek\u00e4 muuta Raahen talousalueen kannalta keskeist\u00e4 tutkimus-, koulutus- ja kehitystoimintaa. S\u00e4\u00e4ti\u00f6 jakaa stipendej\u00e4 korkea-asteen opiskelijoille Raahen talousalueen elinkeinoel\u00e4m\u00e4n ja yritysten tarpeita palvelevien tutkimus-, kehitt\u00e4mis- tai opinn\u00e4ytet\u00f6iden toteuttamisesta. Stipendej\u00e4 voivat hakea my\u00f6s opiskelijat, jotka ovat suorittaneet Raahen talousalueen oppilaitoksissa toisen asteen tutkinnon aikana ammattikorkeakouluopintoihin t\u00e4ht\u00e4\u00e4v\u00e4t v\u00e4yl\u00e4opinnot ja aloittaneet korkea-asteen opinnot. \u00a0 Stipendien my\u00f6nt\u00f6perusteena on opintomenestys sek\u00e4 alueen elinkeinoel\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n kohdistuvan vaikuttavuuden n\u00e4k\u00f6kulma. Hallitus p\u00e4\u00e4tt\u00e4\u00e4 vuosittain kev\u00e4tkokouksessaan stipendien m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4n sek\u00e4 jaettavan summan.
